Althea Canines offers puppy Wellness visits!

Althea Canines offers Puppy Visits to agencies and organizations at no fee. When we have puppies, we can schedule a visit when they are between the ages of 6.5 weeks and 8.5 weeks. We offer this as a stand-alone service, or we also offer it in conjunction to a presentation that shares valuable information on

Service Animals, Facility/Therapy/Peer Support Dogs, and Emotional Support Animals.

According to the Mayo Health Clinic there are many benefits to puppy snuggles. They include:

  • Reduced symptoms of depression
  • Lower perception of social isolation
  • Increased self-confidence
  • Comfort and emotional support
  • Improved cognitive function
  • Decreased agitated behaviors in seniors with dementia
  • Unconditional love and support

We provide puppy snuggles to Senior Care Facilities, Law Enforcement Agencies, Fire, First Responder Dispatch Centers, City offices, Education Facilities (Pre-K through Graduate and Specialty Education Programs), and events such as Nurses Week and conferences for First Responders or Military.
